About Akashic Grove

The wood materials used are sourced around the world and represent some of the most beautiful species nature has ever created. These trees are selectively chosen from indigenous forests and exhibit a unique beauty imbued by the climate and soils of their native region. The wood itself embodies the conscious spirit and knowledge of the forest and environment from which it sprung.

Our Products

Picture
  • Our furniture is built to last: hand-crafted by skilled woodworkers from top to bottom.
  • Metalwork bases made by our skilled craftsmen, often using scrap/ recycled metal
  • All furniture is built with ecological responsibility, and longevity in mind
  • All wood materials are certified as legally sourced from their respective home countries and have an intensive re-planting program in effect.
  • Akashic Grove also will support your local re-planting community efforts with a donation to them as a direct result of your furniture purchase with us

  • 'Akasha' is the Sanskrit word meaning “sky,” “space,” “aether”. When used as an adjective, “Akashic,” it refers to a record of history – past, present and future.

  • Each of our live-edge slabs is a record of the unique environment within which it grew. Variations of water, sun, soil, altitude have created unique beauty that will transform any space into which it is placed.

  • The story of modernity has been of standardization, of conformity, of identical replaceable parts in the ubiquitous machines of our industrial landscapes.

  • By contrast, traditional carpenters respected used the uniqueness of the materials with which they worked to shape a harmonious living environment. The materials achieved a second life, by contributing to an intangible sense of life in the spaces created with them.
